慶祝周日開館，8/7邀請到中英雙語繪本作家Katrina Liu , 為小朋友們說 「給婆婆的禮物」, 每位位小朋友可獲得免費貼紙組一張，現場還提供繪本簽名的服務喔！

Bay Area’s very own bilingual children book author, Katrina Liu, is going to visit Little Bookworm Children Library on 8/7at 1:30pm! There will be book signing, reading and Q&A. All attendees will receive a FREE sheet of boba stickers and receive an exclusive discounted on books. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!

親愛的小書蟲媽媽們：妳們喜歡畫畫嗎？ 妳期待能好好與自己獨處或與朋友一起度過輕鬆的歡樂時光？我們邀請妳一起參加由當地藝術家 Lena Meltsina 在 The Joy Culture Foundation 舉辦的繪畫工作坊。 找個朋友，喝點小酒，讓我們一起畫畫享受美好的週日早晨吧！

活動當天，我們將提供材料、點心和飲料。 藝術家也會一步一步地引導妳創作，非常適合初學者或有經驗者。

P.S. 小書蟲圖書館創辦人 Lulu Roberts 和其他媽媽最近受到 Gustav Klimt 的母親和雙胞胎畫作的啟發，並與 Lena 一同策劃母親節畫展，表現出母親和孩子之間的特殊依存關係。 你可以在小書蟲圖書館看到他們的作品展出喲！

藉由地球日，Studio Lorax的Mandi老師要跟小朋友們一起從故事中了解plastic ocean的議題以及如何保護海洋動物，最後會用自然的花材和小朋友製作出美麗的鯨魚作品。

*花材比較易碎，建議比較有耐心的小朋友或家長協助

Special bi-lingual story time to welcome Spring! Bay Area author Crystal Z. Lee will share her stories and lead a butterfly craft with the families. Her books will also be on sale with special discounts for our library members.  

Crystal Z. Lee is a novelist and children's author. She grew up between Taiwan and the Bay Area. She is the author of Kai the Dancing Butterfly, a picture book celebrating Taiwanese culture through the purple crow butterfly migration. Her other children's book, A Unicorn Named Rin, is about a unicorn and other magical beasts from the Tang dynasty. You can follow the author on Instagram @crystal.z.lee
